Selena Gomez is freaking out about 13 Reasons Why season 2 and now, so are we!

Caution: spoilers ahead.

We already know the new season will give us some other perspectives, a new narrator, and hopefully, Bryce will get what's coming to him. But Selena, who also happens to be the executive producer, just dished out a little more information about what we can expect from 13 Reasons Why season 2.

Selena spoke to Seattle radio station Movin 92.5 about her expectations for the show originally.

“I’m so excited for season two! I think it's going to be so exciting because you know, I didn't expect the first to be as loud. I didn't expect it to have the reaction that it did," she told the station.

And as for season 2? She's freaking out just as much as we are.

"I was in the writers' room the other day, and they're working so hard, and it's going to come together. I was sitting there at the table, like, Wait, what happened? Almost like freaking out. I'm so excited. It's going to be great.”

Without giving too much away about the sophomore season, she explained that we can expect it to delve even deeper than before. We'll get to see those storylines that left us hanging in the first season come full circle.

In her own words:

"I think for season two, we elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through and are going through. So it’s exciting."

If Selena's freaking out about what happens, it's got to be good! Still, with all the spoilers she's dropping, there's still no release date to speak of.  (C'mon Selena, tell us when our next Netflix binge can begin!)

Love it, like it, or completely despise it, 13 Reasons Why season 1 had us all hooked. Whether you believe it glorified acts like bullying and suicide or raised awareness of these issues, the show definitely brought up some important discussion. We can't wait to see what's coming next!
